Day 33

My first day working in a day care was okay. The children were nice. They were cute and interested in me. I trained with a young girl who was going to student teach in the fall. We joked about how she will forget what age group she is working with and tell the high school kids "No no, that is not acceptable." or "Trevor go sit on the bench now for being naughty. Remember we are all friends here at school."

We have to redirect in day care. Yes, we redirect over and over and over again. I know the kids know what is right or wrong because many times when I redirect they have just a little hint of a smirk on their faces. Sometimes they have this very very blank stare and I have to wonder are they actually listening to me or are they thinking yeah, yeah, I've heard this song before. I guess it depends on what kid it is some are listening some are actually thinking about the next bad thing they can do and this time how can they get away with it.
